The Royal College of Surgeons of England – College Assessors required

The College is welcoming applications from experienced consultant surgeons for the highly regarded position of Advisory Appointment Committees (AACs) assessor.

The Royal College of Surgeons of England are looking to recruit College Assessors in all surgical specialties.

We would encourage all eligible members to consider applying and playing an important role on Advisory Appointment Committees (AACs).

Please note the essential criteria below for the College assessor role:

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in the substantive or honorary consultant role
  • Currently working in the NHS, or have worked within the NHS within the past 5 years
  • Equality & Diversity training, completed within the last 3 years
  • Full GMC registration and licence to practice
  • Fellowship with RCS England (FRCS or FDS)
  • Must be working within the United Kingdom, and not based predominantly overseas
