Venue

The conference will take place at the ICC Wales.

ICC Wales is a purpose-built and accessible venue set within 52 acres of ancient woodland and adjacent to the M4. Not only does the venue offer modern conference facilities, but its location enables delegates to take advantage of the woodland walks and runs. 

The venue is located at: Coldra Wood, Newport, South Wales NP18 1DE

Accommodation

The ABS is pleased to offer an accommodation service for delegates attending the ABS Conference 2027.

The Celtic Collection is offering accommodation at the following properties in the vicinity of ICC Wales at the following rates:

• Celtic Manor Resort: £205 per room, per night
• Coldra Court Hotel: £155 per room, per night
• Ty Newport: £165 per room, per night
• Ty Magor: £125 per room, per night

Travel

ICC Wales is easily accessible from across the UK and abroad as follows:

By car: The venue is located just off junction 24 of the M4 and has over 2000 visitor parking spaces and EV charging points available onsite.

By train: Newport station is 12 minutes by taxi or car from ICC Wales. GWR offers delegates discounts for passengers attending events at the venue. Currently conference fairs are not available directly on GWR.com. However, Conference Fares will be retailed via calling or emailing the GWR Contact Centre (0345 700 0125), who will then process the booking, take payment and issue the tickets.

Flying: ICC Wales is located less than an hour away from both Cardiff and Bristol airports, which are well served by services from across the UK and Europe.

Babies and Co-parents

We’re committed to making the ABS Conference 2027 inclusive and accessible:

• Babies are very welcome at the conference.
• A parents and carers’ room  will be available for feeding or quiet time.
• Babes in arms are welcome in sessions. Where possible, we advise  sitting in an aisle seat by the door, so it’s easy for you to leave a session should you need to
• Co-parents can attend to support you, though please be aware that non-health care providers will not be permitted in the exhibition area due to the APBI ruling. 
• Co-parents can be registered online as part of delegate registration.

Delegate support

The following rooms will be provided at ICC Wales to support delegates during their conference experience:

Parents’ and Carers’ Room

A parents and carers’ room is provided for delegates wishing to bring their infants with them to the conference. The room offers a private space to feed or change your child and also for a carer to spend time during the conference.

Delegates attending the conference with an infant may register a co-carer accompanying them for free. This can be done as part of the delegate registration process.

Quiet Spaces

A Quiet Space will be provided in the venue for delegates to use. There are also ponder pods, which offer a peaceful escape in the surrounding woodlands.

Multifaith room

A multifaith room is available at the venue for delegates to use.
