Management of the Axilla: Multidisciplinary Recommendations from the Association of Breast Surgery
ABS Guidelines on management of the axilla.
Axillary management in breast cancer patients is an area that continues to evolve. Since publication of the Association of Breast Surgery’s (ABS’) guidelines on axillary management following neoadjuvant chemotherapy in 2019, there have been significant changes in routine clinical practice. This, together with the results of recent clinical trials and studies, prompted the Executive Board of the ABS to convene a multi-disciplinary writing group to produce pragmatic new recommendations to guide axillary management in the UK. The guidance is endorsed by the ABP, BSBR and UKBCG
