New phyllodes guidance published.
The Association of Breast Surgery has published guidance on the management of phyllodes tumours of the breast.
The guidance provides easily accessible evidence and consensus recommendations for multidisciplinary teams managing patients with phyllodes tumours.
With the considerable variation in the management of phyllodes tumours both in the UK and across the world, this guidance will help all clinicians who manage phyllodes tumours to streamline care and enhance best practice.
This guidance has been produced with the involvement of the ABS and endorsed by the Association of Breast Pathology, the British Society of Breast Radiology, the Royal College of Radiologists, the Association of Breast Surgeons of India, the Society of Irish Breast Surgeons, and the UK National Coordinating Committee for Breast Pathology.
The patient information included has also been reviewed with support from Breast Cancer Now and Sarcoma UK.
