Course Objectives
- Develop a strong foundation in both fundamental and advanced ultrasound techniques.
- Effectively apply intraoperative ultrasound (IOUS) in clinical practice.
- Gain hands-on experience in ultrasound-guided surgical procedures and localisation techniques.
- Deepen understanding of alternative localisation methods, margin assessment, and complex oncoplastic decision-making.
- Examine the current debates and challenges surrounding ultrasound use by breast surgeons.
Please note: This course does not provide accreditation for diagnostic ultrasound use. However, it equips participants with the knowledge to utilise ultrasound as a valuable adjunct to surgical practice.

- Theoretical Lectures: Core principles of ultrasound application in breast cancer surgery, including intraoperative video demonstrations.
- Practical Workshops: Hands-on training using phantom models and real patient scenarios.
