Mr Dibyesh Banerjee MBBS MS FRCSEd FRCS, is a Consultant Oncoplastic Breast Surgeon based at St George’s University Hospital in Tooting, SW London. In his NHS and Private practice, he offers a wide range of Aesthetic, Oncoplastic and Reconstructive surgery. He has developed close links with his Plastic Surgery colleagues to offer the full range of surgical options – esp. autologous reconstructions – to his patients. This also allows him to adapt many of the finer aesthetic aspects into his repertoire. Mr Banerjee operates on over 160 breast cancer patients each year. He performs over 60 implant-based breast reconstructions annually, alongside similar numbers of breast augmentations, reductions, therapeutic mammoplasty and mastopexy procedures. These are for symmetrisation as well as for cosmetic surgery, in carefully selected cases. He maintains a high standard of practice, audits his results regularly and seeks patient feedback diligently.

Mr Banerjee qualified in 1990 from Madras University and commenced his Higher Surgical Training in the UK from 1994. He was appointed to his current post in 2004. His overseas experience includes attachments at the Plastic Surgery Dept at Emory University, Altanta and, at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, in NYC. He is an active faculty member of various training courses. He has served on the Advisory Board of some Breast Implant and mesh companies (on Honorary basis). As a keen surgical trainer and educator, he sits on the SW London Training Committee and is on the Faculty for National ST Selection. Mr Banerjee has been the Educational Supervisor and mentor to over 30 Breast Surgery trainees since 2005, many of whom have gone on to become Consultant Colleagues locally as well as, nationally. In his free time, he enjoys listening to music including jazz & blues and travelling. He is an active member of Surrey County Cricket Club.

Henry Cain qualified in 2001 from Leicester Medical School. Following the award of MD in breast cancer signalling pathways and higher surgical training in Newcastle upon Tyne he spent a year as the Oncoplastic Fellow at the Canniesburn Unit in Glasgow. He was appointed a Consultant Oncoplastic Surgeon at the Royal Victoria Infirmary Newcastle upon Tyne in 2013. Henry Cain was the surgical QUIPP lead for the introduction of day case mastectomy pathway to the Royal Victoria Infirmary.  Henry Cain continues a commitment in teaching advanced oncoplastic breast surgery.  Driving improvements in surgical care he has led the introduction of Radioactive Seed Localisation of impalpable breast cancer and post neo-adjuvant chemotherapy I125 seed Targeted Axillary Dissection to the UK.  With a significant recruitment into national trials he is the surgical lead Co-Investigator for the NOSTRA trial and the Chief Investigator for the PRE-DX national RCT.

St George's Hospital, London

Buket is a ST7 breast surgery trainee in the South London Deanery. She is currently pursuing an MD at St George’s Hospital, London, under the supervision of Miss Sarah Tang and Mr Anup Sharma, with a focus on breast-conserving surgery and ductal carcinoma in situ (DCIS). She is an active member of the Mammary Fold committee at the Association of Breast Surgery and will take up the role of Chair in May 2025.

University of Bristol & Royal United Hospitals

Kit is an NIHR Academic Clinical Lecturer in Breast Surgery at the University of Bristol. She is chair of the Mammary Fold Academic & Research Collaborative and Royal College of Surgeons Associate Surgical Specialty Lead (aSSL) for Breast Surgery. She combines research activities with her final years of surgical training in the Severn region. Kit's research interests are to improve outcomes for breast surgery patients, through designing, developing and conducting high quality collaborative clinical research answering questions of importance to both patients and professionals. Recent studies include Diamond, RESTORE C-19 and performing the data analysis for the James Lind Alliance Priority Setting Partnership for Breast Surgery.

Imperial College Healthcare NHS Trust

Yasmin Hassen is an ST7 Breast Trainee on the Northwest Thames Rotation. She completed her medical studies at Imperial College London and returned to Imperial during her early registrar training to complete a PhD in Patient Safety culminating in international presentations of her work as well as publications in leading journals. She currently serves as the vice chair of the Mammary Fold.

Tom is the outgoing Chair of the Mammary Fold. He trained in the Southwest, and has recently undertaken a TIG fellowship in Leeds prior to starting his consultant post in Exeter. He has been the MF South West Peninsula Regional Representative, secretary to the Mammary Fold 2021-2023 and sat on the Mammary Fold Academic Committee.

Miss Rachel Lee is a ST4 general surgery registrar with an interest in oncoplastic breast surgery. She graduated from St George’s University of London and has been training in the East Midlands deanery since F1. She currently serves as the social media representative of the Mammary Fold and is also part ofst the iBRA-NET committee.

Edward St John is a consultant oncoplastic breast surgeon working at Portsmouth Hospitals University NHS Trust and an Honorary Associate Professor at the University of Portsmouth. He is the Co-founder and Chief Medical Officer of Concentric Health, an InnovateUK & SBRI supported platform for digital consent & enhanced shared decision making. Concentric is the most used clinical digital consent application in the UK. He is a member of the ABS Academic & Research Committee, the Partnership Lead of the Innovation Hub for the Royal College of Surgeons England, and an experienced NHS Clinical entrepreneur fellow. He is passionate about healthcare and effective, safe innovation. Amongst other skills he has domain expertise in consent & shared decision making, the evaluation of medical devices and digital health.

Worcestershire Royal Hospital

Steven Thrush is an experienced breast reconstructive and aesthetic surgeon who has been a Consultant Breast Surgeon in Worcester since 2004. He is passionate about education and has been involved with the the ABS (previously Royal College of Surgeons of England)  breast courses since 2005. He is also a module lead for the Oncoplastic Breast Masters Course run through University of East Anglia. He has lectured internationally and published numerous academic papers on breast surgery.
