Bursaries

Please indicate when submitting an abstract if you wish to be considered for these bursaries.

Medical Student Bursaries

The ABS is offering 10 bursaries to attend the Conference to the best ranking abstracts submitted by UK or Ireland based medical students (Recipients must be medical students in the academic year 2024 – 2025).  The bursaries will give the recipients free registration and up to £200 towards their travel and accommodation expenses to attend the conference.

Candidates should ensure that they would be available to attend the Conference on the 19th & 20th May 2025 in Birmingham if successful.

Nursing Bursaries

The ABS is offering 10 bursaries to attend the Conference to the best ranking abstracts submitted by UK or Ireland based ABS Nurse Members (Recipients must be an ABS member by the time of the abstract deadline). The bursaries will give the recipients free registration and up to £200 towards their travel and accommodation expenses to attend the conference.

LMI Bursaries

The ABS is offering 5 bursaries to attend the Conference to candidates from and working principally at Government or Charitable Hospitals/ Clinics in LMI countries (as defined by the World Bank List). 

The bursaries will be awarded to the best ranking abstracts from appropriate candidates. The bursaries will give the recipients free registration and up to £500 towards their travel and accommodation expenses to attend the conference.
