ESSO Course on Mapping and Localization Techniques in Breast Cancer Surgery

This course aims to offer an overview on the use of fluorescence to guide oncoplastic breast surgery in the decision making for breast reconstruction following mastectomy, in the planning for chest wall perforator flaps, preservation of sensitivity after mastectomy and for sentinel lymph node biopsy. Moreover the experts will share their experience on the use of new methodologies for the localization of non palpable breast lesions (Intraoperative ultrasound and magnetic seeds) and for sentinel lymph node biopsy (Magnetic tracer and ICG). The course will be based on face-to-face talks and videos of surgical technique.
