ABS Regional Meetings
The ABS is now holding a meeting in each region in the UK every two years. The purpose of these meetings is to be able to highlight current ABS work and for the members to be able to feedback to the Trustees. The meetings are organized by the regional reps (Surgeon, Nursing and Mammary Fold).

Brighton and South East Breast Study Day (including the ABS South East Coast Regional Meeting)

Committal registration fee £10 for NHS staff/ £75 rest (includes breakfast, lunch and coffee breaks)
Shortlisted presentations for medical students and trainees entitles the presenter to free registration.
A truly multi-disciplinary event with presentations of interest for all the team with preliminary sessions/parallel sessions for surgeons/nurses/mammographers/oncologists

- Managing anxiety in cancer patients
- Assessing frailty in elderly breast cancer patients
- Latest guidelines on management of margins in breast cancer
- Patients' perspective of life after cancer diagnosis.

- Regional QA data for breast screening services in South East
- Guidelines on the management of breast cancer in the elderly
- Radiotherapy and autologous flaps
Abstract Submission:
Opportunity for medical students and trainees at all levels to present breast related audit/research projects.
Association of Breast Surgery regional prizes for best presentations.
3 minute presentation with 2 minutes questions.
Deadline for submission 15th August 2024.
