Education & Training Committee SAS Grade Representative – Call for expressions of interest
We are calling for expressions of interest for a new SAS Grade Representative on the ABS Education & Training Committee.
The Committee meets four times per year – twice in person and twice online. In person meetings are normally held at the Royal College of Surgeons of England in London.
There are two SAS Grade Representatives on the committee. Their role is to input to the committee about the specific training and education needs of this group of professionals. Committee members may also be asked to take on other roles within the committee to help take forward their current projects.

Application process
Members wishing to apply for this role should send a letter by e-mail to lucydavies@absgbi.org.uk by the 6th October 2023 at 9am stating their interest in the post and the relevant experience they have to fulfil the role. A short (3 page maximum) CV should be included for reference. There are no elections for committee membership but selection will be made by the committee members and chairs on the merit of the applications and the needs/ composition of the committees at the time. All committee posts are approved by the Executive Board.
