Advanced Communications Development for Breast Surgeons
2nd & 3rd September 2019, Royal College of Physicians (11 St Andrews Place, Regent's Park, London NW1 4LE)
The Mammary Fold, ABS and CommSkills4Health are delighted to offer this ground-breaking new course for our breast surgeons in training.
This is the first course of its kind and demonstrates the future of patient-centred care delivered by breast surgeons. This course was piloted last year and the feedback from Trainees and Consultants reflected that this course is a long sought-after addition to the portfolio of breast surgeons.
We know that patient outcomes are affected by their engagement with their care and this begins with the strong bond they have with their clinician.
Dame Lesley Fallowfield is a world-leader in psycho-oncology and is travelling world-wide throughout the year delivering educational evidence-based data that directly impacts on the experiences of each individual patient that we see.
With Dame Lesley’s experience and team of professional actors we work through real clinical scenarios that we all experience in our professional life as breast surgeons. Each delegate will have one-to-one training within small teaching groups, using the actors as patients and their peers for feedback.
The course is designed to precede the London Breast Meeting in September at a nearby venue in central London. It will begin late morning on Monday 2nd September and there will be a dinner that evening. The following day will be a full day finishing by 5pm. CPD points will be applied for.
The course fee is £250 which is inclusive of all food and drink for both days. This is a very competitive fee compared with all the other generic courses on offer. We only have 24 places. The course is currently only open to trainees.
Registration for this course is now closed as it has reached capacity
