Tracie qualified as an RGN in the early eighties, her career has covered medical, surgical, intensive care and nursing overseas. She set up and led the gynaecology cancer specialist nursing service in Bath, 23 years ago, developing an interest in cancer genomics in the last decade, taking up post in the new NHS Genomic Medicine Service two years ago as Associate Director of Nursing and Midwifery for the Southwest Genomic Medicine Alliance. Tracie is the information consultant nurse for The Eve Appeal gynaecology cancer research charity. Tracie is on the faculty for the UWE masters and PGcert in genomics for midwives and nurses, is a Cochrane reviewer, lectures on the international and national circuit with publications in nursing and medical journals. She is a member of several NICE specialist committees, All Party Parliamentary Committees, and the British Gynaecology Cancer Society Council.
